Stefano Rinaldi
Embedded Systems and Smart Sensors Research Group
Stefano Rinaldi was born in Seriate (BG), Italy, on February 17, 1982. He received the Laurea degree in Electronic Engineering fo the Automation from the University of Brescia in 2006, discussing a Master Thesis about the development and the implementation of an instrument for performance analysis of Real Time Ethernet industrial networks. From January 2008 to June 2008 he was an ERASMUS student at the Austrian Accademy of Science, Vienna, Austria. From June 2009 to Semptember 2009, he was at the Massachusetts Institute of Technolog, where he worked at advanced wireless sensors network. In 2010 he received the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Instrumentations from the University of Brescia, discussing a Ph.D. thesis entitled "Measurement Instruments for Field-Level Industrial Communications".
Currently he holds an assistant professor position at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Brescia. He is a member of IEEE, a member of the national electronic group (GE) and a member of the national electric and electronic measurement group (GMEE).
His research interests include industrial communication network, time synchronization mechanism, smart grid, renewable energy, smart sensors, embedded electronic system, FPGA, embedded operating system, real time system, wireless sensor network.
